Technological progress is now rising at exponential rate, because of introduced commercialization trend . Thanks to Industrial Revolution that took place almost 200 years ago, the world is perceived completely different. The hunger for innovation as well as the demand of the customers dragged the later great discoveries and inventions. New world is characterized by the super-fast communication and increased connectivity, which allows for instant spread of new products and ideas throughout the world. Some of them already made huge impact and we would not be able now to imagine living without them. When we take into consideration Megan Ray Nichols’ article, where she proposed her innovative technologies, we will be immediately hit by the absolutely crucial examples of our everyday life. Technology is the application of scientific knowledge that is used for particular purposes, especially in industry. Nowadays most of us cannot imagine life without technological gadgets. Most of us also do not remember time when particular technological innovations did not exist. Technology affects every sphere of our life. Especially, twentieth century influenced many technological innovations and change world’s path forever. The article “Technology innovation has changed the world” written by Mark Borkowski suggested that last century brought us a lot of change but we little does we know that some innovations date back to the nineteenth century. Some industries still depend on the old technology and for example commercial energic power started in 1882 and we still use it. Later in the article, Borkowski wonder what next century will bring. Marysia, how do you find the balance between being down-to-earth, experiencing here and now and technology?
I think it is important to put down your phone during a meal or a conversation so I tend to leave it in my bag or in my pocket so it is not tempting me to check the incoming notifications. Sometimes when I go for a walk I just leave my phone at home
The constant innovation in technology help our in daily life or could help in the future. In article ” 10 tech innovations that will shortly change the world” have been written by Max Langridge and Adrian Willings. They are tech enthusiasts and they write the articles about tech because it is passionate them. They are interested in technology news and create own gadget projects. There are ideas for high rise farms which allow agriculture to stay and develop despite the decreasing usable area. The lab-grown meats are great alternative to animal and environment because we don’t kill anyone and we increase the area for enterprises. Another awesome invention for me are robot butlers which can clean houses, help in the gardens. They are really useful for people with any disabilities, on wheelchair or lonely seniors. I think so. There are many benefits to using a 3D printer now. If this device will be improved this organ transplants may be what will save more people’s lives.
